Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Slice your beef thinly against the grain into bite-sized pieces. Marinate the beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce, salt, and pepper for 15-20 minutes.
  2. Heat a skillet or wok over medium-high heat with vegetable oil until shimmering.
  3. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add the marinated beef in a single layer. Sear for 1-2 minutes without stirring, then stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes.
  5. Toss in the sliced bell pepper and stir-fry for 1-2 minutes.
  6. Pour in remaining soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, and chili flakes. Stir to coat and cook for another minute.
  7. Remove from heat and fold in fresh Thai basil until just wilted.
  8. Serve hot over jasmine rice or noodles, garnished with extra basil and sesame seeds.
