Cooking Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, black pepper, and optional red pepper flakes.
  3. Place the chuck roast into an oven-safe pot and pour the prepared marinade evenly over the meat.
  4. Add beef broth to the pot until it covers the roast halfway.
  5. Cover the pot tightly with a lid and roast for 3 to 4 hours.
  6. Remove the pot from the oven and let the chuck roast rest for about 15 minutes.
  7. After resting, slice the Asian BBQ Chuck Roast against the grain and drizzle some of the cooking liquid over them.
  8. Garnish with chopped green onions and optional sesame seeds before serving.
