- Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, black pepper, and optional red pepper flakes.
- Place the chuck roast into an oven-safe pot and pour the prepared marinade evenly over the meat.
- Add beef broth to the pot until it covers the roast halfway.
- Cover the pot tightly with a lid and roast for 3 to 4 hours.
- Remove the pot from the oven and let the chuck roast rest for about 15 minutes.
- After resting, slice the Asian BBQ Chuck Roast against the grain and drizzle some of the cooking liquid over them.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and optional sesame seeds before serving.
