  • 12 oz Spaghetti The main ingredient
  • 2 tbsp Salt For boiling water

  • 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley Chopped
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese Grated
For the Garlic Bread
  • 1 loaf Italian Bread Can substitute with French bread
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter Softened
  • 3 cloves Garlic Powder Optional
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper Freshly ground

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Boil 4 quarts of water with 2 tablespoons of salt. Add spaghetti and cook for 8-10 minutes until al dente. Reserve 1 cup pasta water, then drain.
  2. Heat 3 tablespoons of olive oil in a skillet. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Toss drained spaghetti into the skillet with garlic. Slowly add reserved pasta water until desired consistency is reached. Stir for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in parsley and Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  5. Mix together softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, and Parmesan until smooth for the garlic bread spread.
  6. Slice Italian bread and spread garlic butter mixture on both sides. Place on a baking sheet.
  7. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake garlic bread for 10-12 minutes until golden.
  8. Broil garlic bread for 1-2 minutes for extra crispiness, watching closely.
  9. Serve spaghetti with garlic bread on the side, garnishing with extra Parmesan and parsley.
