Step-by-Step Instructions for Roasted Orange Chicken
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly coat a baking dish with nonstick spray.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the juice of two oranges, honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, and olive oil. Whisk until well blended.
  3. Place the whole chicken in a zip-top bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over it, ensuring it’s fully coated. Marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Transfer the marinated chicken into the prepared baking dish and pour half of the marinade over it. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  5. While the chicken is baking, simmer the remaining marinade in a saucepan for about 10 minutes until it thickens slightly.
  6. Once baking is complete, remove the chicken and drizzle the thickened glaze over it. Serve with your choice of sides.
