  • 1 can Chickpeas drained and patted dry
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Sea Salt
  • 1 cup Green Onions finely chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour sub chickpea flour for gluten-free
  • 1 large Egg or use flax egg for vegan
  • 2 tablespoons Grapeseed Oil for frying
For the Yogurt Sauce
  • 1 cup Greek Yogurt or sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon Juice juice from half a lemon
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Dill chopped
  • 1 clove Additional Garlic minced

Method
 

Patties Preparation
  1. Drain and pat the chickpeas dry. In a bowl, mash them coarsely with a fork.
  2. Add ground cumin, black pepper, sea salt, green onions, minced garlic, flour, and egg. Mix until a dough-like consistency forms.
  3. Heat grapeseed oil in a frying pan. Shape the chickpea mixture into patties and fry for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown.
Yogurt Sauce Preparation
  1. Combine Greek yogurt, lemon juice, dill, additional garlic, and a pinch of sea salt in a bowl. Mix until smooth and creamy.
Serving
  1. Serve the warm patties alongside the yogurt sauce for dipping.
