Method
 

Instructions
  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced yellow onions and sauté for 20-25 minutes until caramelized.
  2. Brown ground beef in another skillet over medium-high heat for 5-7 minutes, breaking it apart until fully browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to cooked beef. Mix for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Combine the caramelized onions with the beef mixture, cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  5. Pour in beef broth and simmer for about 5 minutes.
  6. Add flour and stir continuously for 1-2 minutes to thicken the mixture.
  7. Gradually stir in shredded Gruyère cheese and allow to melt over low heat.
  8. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and toast hamburger buns for 5-7 minutes.
  9. Spoon the beef filling onto the bottom half of the toasted buns and cap with the top half.
  10. Optionally sprinkle chopped parsley on top before serving.
