- In a small saucepan, combine water, brown sugar, and pumpkin puree. Add ground cinnamon, ground ginger, grated nutmeg, and ground cloves. Stir until smooth with no lumps.
- Place saucepan over medium heat, stirring continuously until it reaches a gentle simmer, about 3 to 5 minutes.
- Reduce heat to low and allow to simmer gently for 10 to 15 minutes, stirring occasionally until thickened.
- Remove from heat and stir in maple and vanilla extracts until fully incorporated.
- Cool for about 10 minutes before transferring to a jar. Seal tight and store in the refrigerator.
