Ingredients

For the Syrup
  • 1 cup Water A crucial solvent to combine flavors seamlessly.
  • 1 cup Packed Brown Sugar Provides sweetness and moisture; coconut sugar can deepen the flavor profile.
  • 1 cup Pumpkin Puree Choose plain pumpkin puree, either homemade or from a can—avoid pie filling.
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon Adds that warm, cozy spice; swap it with pumpkin pie spice for an enriched flavor experience.
  • 0.5 teaspoon Ground Ginger Brings a zesty punch; you can also use fresh ginger for an invigorating twist.
  • 0.5 teaspoon Grated Nutmeg Contributes nutty notes; for a unique balance, allspice works well as a substitute.
  • 0.25 teaspoon Ground Cloves Adds depth to the flavor; feel free to leave it out for a milder taste.
  • 1 teaspoon Maple Extract Intensifies the maple essence; adjust quantity based on the extract's potency.
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract Offers warmth and complexity; fresh vanilla bean can elevate your syrup to gourmet status.
