  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter substitute with almond butter or sun butter for nut-free
  • 2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats use gluten-free oats to maintain dietary requirements
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup can be replaced with honey or agave syrup
  • 1/2 cup protein powder optional; can be omitted
For the Topping
  • 1 cup dairy-free chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil helps in melting chocolate smoothly
  • flaky sea salt optional for garnish

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Combine 1 cup of creamy peanut butter and 1/3 cup of maple syrup in a large mixing bowl and stir until smooth.
  2. Fold in 2 cups of old-fashioned rolled oats into the mixture until fully combined.
  3. Grease silicon molds and evenly distribute the oat mixture, pressing firmly to shape the cups.
  4. Add a small dollop of peanut butter on top of each cup and freeze for about 20 minutes.
  5. Melt 1 cup of dairy-free chocolate chips with 1 teaspoon of coconut oil in the microwave until smooth.
  6. Pour melted chocolate over each cup and smooth out any excess.
  7. Freeze again for 20 minutes or until the chocolate is set.
  8. Remove from molds and sprinkle with flaky sea salt before serving.
