Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare your baking sheet by greasing or lining it with parchment paper.
  2. Slice the cabbage into thick, ½ inch rounds. Brush both sides with olive oil.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, onion, garlic, smoked paprika, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Optionally add an egg and mix well.
  4. Shape the meat mixture into patties that match the size of cabbage rounds.
  5. Place each patty on top of a cabbage slice and bake for 25 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  6. For optional cheese topping, sprinkle cheese on each patty and broil for 3 to 5 minutes until melted.
