Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a medium bowl, combine warm water with sugar and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour and salt. Create a well, add oil and yeast mixture. Stir until a rough dough forms.
  3. Knead dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled.
  5. Melt butter in a saucepan, stir in garlic and parsley, simmer for 1 minute.
  6. Punch down the dough, divide into 12 pieces, roll into long ropes, and tie into knots.
  7. Cover knots and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  8. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Brush knots with garlic butter.
  9. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Brush warm knots with remaining garlic butter before serving.
  11. Serve warm, enjoying the fluffy, buttery knots!
