Method

Step-by-Step Instructions for Lavender Iced Tea
  1. Begin by sterilizing a 1-quart heatproof pitcher. Rinse it with hot water to ensure the optimal steeping temperature is maintained.
  2. Layer dried culinary lavender at the bottom of the infuser or directly in the pitcher, followed by the black tea leaves.
  3. Heat your water to a temperature between 195–205°F (90–96°C). Pour it slowly over the tea-lavender blend and cover the pitcher to retain heat.
  4. After 10 minutes, carefully remove the infuser or tea bags from the broth.
  5. Stir in honey or agave syrup while the tea is still warm.
  6. Allow the tea to cool to room temperature, then chill in the refrigerator for 75 minutes.
  7. Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the chilled Lavender Iced Tea over them. Garnish with fresh lemon slices and sprigs of lavender.
