- Step 1: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the ground beef. Cook for 7-10 minutes until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Step 2: Add the diced onion and sauté for 3-4 minutes until translucent. Stir in minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
- Step 3: Stir in the marinara sauce and tomato paste, allowing to simmer for 5-7 minutes over low heat.
- Step 4: Add oregano, basil, red pepper flakes, black pepper, and salt. Mix well and adjust seasoning as needed.
- Step 5: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice the sandwich rolls in half.
- Step 6: Spread softened butter on the cut sides of the rolls and arrange on a baking sheet.
- Step 7: Bake the rolls in the preheated oven for 5-7 minutes until golden and crispy.
- Step 8: Mix chopped parsley and grated Parmesan into the beef filling.
- Step 9: Spoon the beef filling onto the bottom half of each roll and sprinkle with garlic powder.
- Step 10: Top with the other half of the roll, pressing gently. Serve immediately.
