  • 40 pieces Frozen Mini Italian Meatballs (thawed) Opt for turkey or chicken meatballs for a healthier version.
  • 1 Fresh Basil Leaves Optional for garnish.

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a mini cupcake pan with non-stick spray.
  2. Boil water in a large pot and cook the angel hair pasta until al dente (about 3-4 minutes). Drain and cool slightly.
  3. Mix slightly cooled pasta with the beaten egg, grated Parmesan, shredded mozzarella, Italian seasoning, a pinch of salt, and pepper until combined.
  4. Spoon the mixture into the cupcake pan, pressing down to create nest shapes with indentations.
  5. Bake for about 15-20 minutes until golden brown and firm. Let cool slightly before removing.
  6. Heat pasta sauce in a saucepan with the thawed meatballs over medium heat for about 5 minutes.
  7. Cool the nests in the pan for about 10 minutes to firm them up.
  8. Remove the nests, place a meatball on each, drizzle with sauce, and garnish with basil if desired.
