Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with non-stick spray or butter.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs. Mix until smooth and well-combined.
  3. Pour half of the prepared batter into the greased baking dish and spread it out evenly.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix together the creamy peanut butter, cream cheese, melted butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of the peanut butter filling over the cake batter and swirl it through the batter with a knife.
  6. Sprinkle the chopped Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups over the top, then pour the remaining cake batter over to cover them.
  7. Bake for 35-40 minutes, checking with a toothpick for doneness; it should come out mostly clean.
  8. Allow the cake to cool in the dish for about 15-20 minutes, then cut into squares and serve warm.
