  • 4 cups Apples, sliced Any variety works, such as Honey Crisp or Fuji.
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon Adjust to taste.
  • 1 tablespoon Sweetener (optional) Honey or sugar can be used.
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon Juice Freshly squeezed helps prevent browning.
For Dehydrating
  • 1 Parchment Paper or Silicone Mats Necessary for lining trays.

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Start by washing and coring your apples, then slice them into small pieces.
  2. In a stock pot, combine the sliced apples with lemon juice and a bit of water. Cook over medium heat for about 20 minutes.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a food processor or blender. Puree until smooth.
  4. Gently stir in cinnamon and your chosen sweetener.
  5. Spread the apple mixture evenly onto dehydrator trays lined with parchment paper.
  6. Set your dehydrator to a low temperature, around 140°F (60°C), and dry for approximately 12 hours.
  7. Remove and let cool. Cut into strips and wrap in parchment paper for storage.
