Preparation Steps
- Start by washing and coring your apples, then slice them into small pieces.
- In a stock pot, combine the sliced apples with lemon juice and a bit of water. Cook over medium heat for about 20 minutes.
- Transfer the mixture to a food processor or blender. Puree until smooth.
- Gently stir in cinnamon and your chosen sweetener.
- Spread the apple mixture evenly onto dehydrator trays lined with parchment paper.
- Set your dehydrator to a low temperature, around 140°F (60°C), and dry for approximately 12 hours.
- Remove and let cool. Cut into strips and wrap in parchment paper for storage.
