- In a large skillet over medium heat, combine the ground beef and ground hot sausage. Cook for approximately 10–12 minutes until fully browned.
- Cut Velveeta cheese into small cubes and set aside for even melting.
- Once the meat is browned, drain excess grease, lower heat, and add Velveeta cheese cubes. Stir until cheese melts. Mix in Worcestershire sauce, oregano, garlic salt, and salt.
- Preheat your broiler to high and line a baking sheet with party rye bread.
- Scoop about 2 tablespoons of the melted cheese and meat mixture onto each slice of rye bread.
- Broil assembled appetizers for 2–3 minutes until hot and bubbly, or bake at 350°F for 15–18 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle with chopped parsley if desired. Serve warm.
