  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
For the Topping
  • 1/2 cup Fig Spread or fruity jam
  • 8 ounces Burrata Cheese or fresh mozzarella
  • 4 slices Prosciutto or plant-based meat for vegetarian option
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Basil or arugula/mint

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Slice the French baguette diagonally into ½-inch thick pieces and lay flat on a baking sheet.
  3. Brush both sides of each baguette slice with olive oil and toast for about 5 minutes on one side.
  4. Flip each baguette slice and toast for another 5 minutes until golden.
  5. Slice burrata into bite-sized pieces and chop fresh basil.
  6. Heat olive oil in a pan and fry chopped prosciutto until crispy, about 3-5 minutes.
  7. Spread fig spread on each toasted baguette, then top with burrata, prosciutto, and basil.
  8. Serve immediately while warm, optionally drizzling with balsamic reduction.
