  • 2 slices Thick Bread Sourdough or sandwich bread recommended.
  • 1 tablespoon Butter Optional for added richness.
For the Egg Filling
  • 2 large Eggs Crack one into each slice.
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheese Cheddar, mozzarella, or pepper jack recommended.
For Seasoning & Toppings
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Parsley or Chives Chopped for garnish.

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Butter one side of each slice of thick bread and create a well in the center.
  3. Crack an egg into the well of each slice of bread.
  4. Sprinkle shredded cheese around the edges of the egg in each well.
  5. Place the bread in the air fryer and cook for 6-8 minutes, checking for desired yolk consistency.
  6. Remove from the air fryer, season with salt and pepper, and garnish with fresh herbs.
