Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (or set your air fryer to 375°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the refrigerated pizza dough until it’s about ¼ inch thick and cut it into rectangles measuring roughly 4x6 inches.
  3. Spoon a tablespoon of marinara or pizza sauce onto the center of each dough rectangle, leaving about a half-inch border.
  4. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce and add grated Parmesan cheese and any desired fillings.
  5. Fold each rectangle in half to create a pocket and seal the edges by pressing firmly and crimping with a fork.
  6. Brush the tops of the pockets with a beaten egg and sprinkle with dried oregano or garlic powder if desired.
  7. Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown, or 8-10 minutes in the air fryer, flipping halfway through.
  8. Let them cool for about 5 minutes before serving warm with extra marinara sauce on the side.
