Preparation Steps
- In a small bowl, combine warm water, dry active yeast, and granulated sugar. Allow to sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
- In a large bowl, add salt and all-purpose flour to yeast mixture, stir until dough forms. Knead for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic. Let rest covered for 10 minutes.
- Roll dough into a rectangle (10x12 inches). Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
- Roll the dough lengthwise, slice down the center, twist, and shape into a loaf.
- Place loaf in greased pan, cover, and let rise for 20 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 375°F and bake for 23-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow to cool for 10-15 minutes, then glaze or frost as desired.
