  • 1/2 cup Hershey’s Special Dark Cocoa Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1/2 cup Vegetable Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
For the Cream Cheese Layer
  • 8 ounces Cream Cheese
  • 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Orange Food Coloring

Method
 

Brownie Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare an 8x8 baking pan lined with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract until smooth. Combine with the dry ingredients.
  4. Set aside 1/4 cup of the brownie batter for swirling later, then pour the rest into the prepared pan.
  5. Beat the cream cheese until smooth, then add sugar, egg, and vanilla extract before mixing in orange food coloring.
  6. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the brownie layer, then drop spoonfuls of the reserved brownie batter on top.
  7. Use a knife to swirl the two layers together to create a marbled effect.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes until the center is set and a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
  9. Cool completely in the pan on a wire rack before lifting out and slicing into squares.
