Ingredients

For the Caramel
  • ½ cup Salted Butter Can substitute with unsalted butter and adjust salt to taste.
  • 1 cup Light Brown Sugar Can be replaced with granulated sugar for a milder taste.
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar Replace with coconut sugar for a less processed option.
  • 1 can Sweetened Condensed Milk Evaporated milk can be used in a pinch, but will not provide the same sweetness.
  • ¼ cup Light Corn Syrup Honey or agave syrup can be used as a substitute.
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract May omit if not available.
For the Turtles
  • 2 cups Pecan Halves Can substitute with almonds or walnuts.
  • 12 ounces Almond Bark or High-Quality Chocolate Dark or milk chocolate can be used based on preference.

  • Medium Saucepan
  • Microwave-safe bowl or double boiler
