Ingredients

Peanut Butter Banana Baby Melts
  • 1 cup Plain Full-Fat Yogurt Substitution: Use dairy-free yogurt for a dairy-free option.
  • 1 medium Ripe Banana Substitution: Applesauce can be used, but texture may differ.
  • 1/3 cup Natural Style Peanut Butter Substitution: Almond butter, cashew butter, or seed butter can be used for nut-free versions.

Equipment

  • Medium-sized bowl
  • Spatula
  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Silicone molds

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a medium-sized bowl, start by mashing the ripe banana until it becomes a smooth puree.
  2. Add the plain full-fat yogurt and natural style peanut butter. Mix everything together using a spatula or whisk until smooth, taking about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or use silicone molds. Spoon 1-2 tablespoons of the mixture onto the sheet or into molds.
  4. Place the baking sheet or molds into the freezer for at least 5 hours or ideally overnight.
  5. Once frozen, carefully remove the melts from the molds or peel off the parchment paper. Serve 1-2 at a time.
  6. Store any remaining melts in a plastic freezer bag, removing as much air as possible before sealing.
