  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 each orange zest
  • 1 each orange juice
  • 1 pinch nutmeg
For the Whipped Feta Dip
  • 8 ounces feta cheese or ricotta as substitute
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon chili flakes or ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
For the Topping
  • 1/4 cup pistachios chopped
  • to taste tablespoons honey drizzled
  • to taste sprigs fresh thyme or minced rosemary

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a medium saucepan, combine cranberries, maple syrup, orange zest and juice, and nutmeg. Bring to a gentle boil over medium heat, then reduce heat and let simmer for 6–10 minutes until cranberries burst and sauce thickens. Allow to cool.
  2. In a food processor, blend feta cheese, Greek yogurt, chili flakes, and olive oil until smooth and creamy, about 1–2 minutes.
  3. Spread whipped feta across the bottom of a serving bowl. Spoon cranberry compote on top and spread evenly.
  4. Sprinkle chopped pistachios over the cranberry layer and drizzle honey on top. Garnish with fresh thyme or rosemary if desired.
  5. Serve alongside crostini, crackers, or pita bread. Enjoy fresh, or prepare components ahead of time for convenience.
