Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Cook pasta in a large pot of salted water according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Reserve 1 cup of starchy water, then drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Season cubed chicken with salt and pepper, cooking for 6-8 minutes until golden and fully cooked.
  3. Add another tablespoon of butter, diced onion, and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until onion is translucent.
  4. Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth, adding Italian seasoning and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 5 minutes over medium-low heat.
  5. Return chicken and pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat in the creamy sauce. Add reserved pasta water as needed until desired consistency is reached.
  6. Serve warm, garnished with grated Parmesan and chopped parsley.
