Chickpea Flour Method Steps
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together chickpea flour and water until smooth.
- In a saucepan, bring 3 cups of water to a rolling boil over medium-high heat.
- Gradually pour the chickpea flour mixture into the boiling water, whisking constantly.
- Reduce heat to low and cook, stirring for about 5-6 minutes until mixture thickens.
- Remove from heat, pour into a greased container, and allow to cool for at least 30 minutes.
Dried Chickpeas Method Steps
- Soak 1 cup of dried chickpeas in water overnight, then drain.
- Blend soaked chickpeas with 2 cups of fresh water until smooth.
- Strain the mixture using a nut-milk bag or cheesecloth to extract the liquid.
- Heat the strained liquid in a saucepan, stirring constantly for 8-10 minutes until thickened.
- Pour into a greased mold, smooth the surface, and cool for at least 30 minutes.
