Ingredients

For the Biscuit Dough

For the Filling
  • 1 pound Roast beef High-quality
  • 1 cup Cheese Swiss or provolone preferred
For the Dipping Sauce
  • 1 cup Au jus Store-bought or homemade

Equipment

  • Oven
  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Small saucepan

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to the temperature indicated on your biscuit dough package, typically around 425°F (220°C). Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
  2. If using store-bought biscuit dough, follow the instructions on the package to form the biscuits. Roll out homemade dough until about half an inch thick. Cut it into circles.
  3. Take one biscuit circle, place sliced roast beef in the center, and top with cheese. Fold the biscuit dough over the filling, pressing the edges firmly to seal.
  4. Place the assembled Baked French Dip Biscuits on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for approximately 25 minutes, or until puffed and golden brown.
  5. While the biscuits are baking, warm your au jus sauce in a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
  6. Once the biscuits are baked, let them cool for a couple of minutes. Serve warm with au jus for dipping.
