- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to ensure even baking.
- Thoroughly wash and drain the fresh spinach or prepare thawed and drained frozen spinach.
- Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in the skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until aromatic.
- Gradually add the spinach and sauté until wilted, about 2-3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
- Lower the heat, stir in heavy cream, lemon zest, lemon juice, and nutmeg. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Mix in Parmesan cheese until melted and well combined. Adjust seasoning as needed.
- Create four wells in the mixture and crack an egg into each well. Season eggs with salt and pepper.
